TnT Sound Xplosion offers a Live Calypso/Reggae band by pieces; we chose to promote our band in this manner to give our customers the flexibility in choosing a service that meets your needs. Our bands start with 2 pieces and totaling up to 8 members. All of our members have been entertaining over 20 years, and enjoy entertaining. We look forward to playing for your next event .

Caribbean Jazz Piece, Steven Springer and Colin F. John: Colin F. John, Owner, DJ and Entertainer of TnT Sound Xplosion is a native of Trinidad and Tobago, has been playing Steeldrums for 25 years. He represented Trinidad and Tobago with Woodtrin Steel Orchestra in the International Youth Music Festival in Aberdeen Scotland 1984. Colin also played with Calypsonian, Lord Superior at the University of the West Indies for Queen Elizabeth II during her visit to Trinidad in 1985 to celebrate the University's 25th anniversary. At age 11, Colin began playing Steeldrums with one of Trinidad oldest Steeldrum Orchestras "Trintoc Invaders." In 1984, Colin took first place in the National School Steelband Festival preliminary with "Oscar's New Drum by Andy Narrell, and placed third in the finals. He was also invited to play with several high school bands in competitions during the 1987 School Panorama competitions. In addition to operating TnT Sound Xplosion, Colin plays with the 21st Century Steel Orchestra out of Florida, and Uprizin Steeldrum Band MI., Colin has also played Steeldrums for Root Vibration MI., Keyboards for Mellow Running and both Keyboards and Steeldrums for La Trinity. Colin's was also a musical instructor with Caribbean Pans of Joy Detroit.

Steven Springer, a native of Trinidad and Tobago, has been traveling the world playing his guitar, since his late teenage years. His band in Phoenix, Arizona was voted band of the year for three years, and won Album of the Year in 1980s. Touring in the USA and Caribbean, Steve performed at the 1988 World's Fair in Brisbanc, Australia, with the Trinidad Calypso Band. Upon returning to the US, after touring Australia, South Pacific and Europe for a year, Steve joined the world famous Trinidad Tripoli Steelband. In the 1990's he won "Best Guitar Player" for four years in a row at the Detroit Annual Best of Music Awards. He has also performed on and produced twenty one albums/CDs in his career, including jingle for radio and television. Steve skillfully played guitar with elements of jazz, rock, samba, as well as calypso and reggae can be heard throughout his sets. A very pleasant sound that's easy on the ears and cheers the heart. Steve is currently featured on Big Big Records, SKR Records, Black Kettle Records and Sony Records.

Caribbean Jump-Up Piece, Lyndon Sorzano and Colin John: Lyndon Sorzano, also a native of Trinidad and Tobago began playing Steeldrums at the age of 8. As a member of the world-renown Pamberi and Trinidad All Stars Steel Orchestras, he has traveled through out Asia, Europe and the US representing Trinidad in numerous festivals and competition. Lyndon currently is the Leader of Uprizin Steeldrum Band in Detroit, and is an instructor for Caribbean Pans of Joy Detroit. He has played in the Caribbean and African World Festivals held at Hart Plaza, and the Art, Beats and Eats in Pontiac. As a duet with Colin, he has played Greektown Casino, MGM Grand, and Bellville Bar and Grill. Lyndon also played with Roots Vibration, 21st Century Steel Orchestra, La Trinity and Nite Flight.
